The Divine and The Demonic

The purple troublemaker had stopped his bouncing, confused for one thing about why the Champions were living in a place that COULD be burnt down with fire, and also that something he loved so much could be causing so much worry for this girl.

When Mona came back to him, her face was a huge mix of emotions. Köka looked back at the forest fire he had started. The brown wood splintered and turned black. The bark was trying to hold out for as long as it could before shrivelling up and dying. The trees and plants... All made out of the same materials as Mona was.

"Oh no..." Köka backed up from her, finally truly coming to a realization of what he had done. "I'm- I'm sorry!"

Maybe he was more like how his father wanted him to be than he thought.

[Mona Tavon]

Mona was shocked by the sincerity in his apology. "We can worry about how sorry you are later, right now we need to at least get this under control." she said to the suddenly still little demon, she ran over to the hose attached to the back of the house and unraveled it, handing it to Köka. "Try and keep the fire down with the water, I am going to go get some buckets then try to get up there and kill the fire from the top." she said while running back into the house leaving the demon with the hose.

Köka took the hose in his hands, the water already flowing from it. Some of it ran down his arm, the cool wetness kind of stung on his demonic skin, but he supposed he deserved that.

The way Mona had said 'kill' echoed around in his head as he mindlessly turned around and walked closer to the forest fire he had started. Kill the fire... "How do you even trust me to do this?" he said, more to himself because the nature girl was still in the house.

He raised the hose to the burning trees, unsure he should be the one to put out the fire, but afraid to keep it going.

[Mona Tavon]

Mona scurried around the house looking for something, anything that could hold enough water to keep the fire under control. Eventually she was able to find a few buckets and went running back outside to the demon who had started the whole mess.
"Carmen should be here soon, she will be able to put this fire out completely but for now we have to get it under control." She put her hand out for the hose and this time when he handed it to her she was extra careful to keep clear of his hot purple skin. "I'm going to fill up the buckets, you think you can carry the full ones up to the top of the trees without spilling most of it?"

Köka nodded, being sorta slow and calculating for once in his life. He took the first bucket without a word and leaped up to the nearest burning tree to pour over top of it. Of course though, he DID end up spilling most of it on himself rather than the tree, the cold water sizzling and turning to steam when it hit his skin. "Owww oops..."

When he landed again he had tears in his eyes. Somewhat from the pain, but mostly from his screw up.

The little demon was still mostly a child, after all.

[Carmen]

Carmen arrived on the scene, and with a look of pure annoyance she stared at the blazing fire.

She quickly turned her gaze to the guilty Köka and Mona, and suddenly without a thought (or a filter)...

"WHAT IN THE FUCKING NAME OF OPRAH MOTHERFUCKING WINFREY DID YOU DIM FUCKING--"

She cut herself off to close her eyes and take a quick and deep breath, as she could feel her own fire rising from within her. She held that breath for what seemed to be an eternity, and finally let all her air out, allowing herself to breathe again. She plastered on a painfully forced smile, and opened her eyes to fix her accusing stare back on Mona and Köka.

"I'm fine, WOW HAHA," she forced a laugh, "I am... I am just SO FINE!"

Carmen kept that smile plastered on her face as she tried to conceal her rage. She realized what lay ahead. Accessing the water element is never a welcomed task.

The demon boy turned to the loud intruding noise, his super one-track mind completely switched over to the arriving hero, already having forgotten his screw-up. "Fire girl!!" Köka dropped the bucket and starting bounding over to her.

Though this one was generally the meanest member of the group, she was still the most fun and he was excited to see her. Although she could apparently control water and air and stuff too, she only ever used fire around him. Wonder why that is? "You gunna help us? You gunna help us?!"

[Mona Tavon]

"Köka, back off a bit. She is already angry you don't want this to get any worse." Mona said in a panicked tone that she immediately regretted. but instead of apologizing she turned to face Carmen.
"Do you think you can you can help us out? Köka has made a bit of a mess... By accident! It was a accident!" she quickly added on the fact that it was a accident hoping it would calm the other hero enough so she would be a bit more useful when it came to the fire.
